Installing LeveLoks® on Your Ladders

 

LL-STB-1 levelers are quick and easy to install. If you prefer, they can be pre-installed at the ladder factory, or professionally installed by local ladder dealers and service companies, such as Advanced Ladders, Batavia Services, Inc., Industrial Ladder, Nationwide Ladders and Ladder Doctor (all specialists in serving utility companies).

If you should decide to install them yourself, you will find it's a snap. The process requires about 15 minutes and few common tools - a pen or pencil, center punch, hammer, electric drill with two drill bits, and a socket or box wrench. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3...



Mark the Hole Centers.

Position the template provided on the center line of the ladder rail, near the bottom of the leg.

Using a felt tip pen or pencil, mark the 3 hole centers.

Drill the 3 Mounting Holes.

Center punch the 3 marks made in Step 1.

Using a 1/8" drill bit, drill pilot holes in all 3 positions.

Insert a 11/32" bit in the drill and re-drill the holes.

Bolt on the LeveLok® Unit.

Slip the studs on the LeveLok unit through the holes you've drilled.

Slide washers and locknuts on the studs and tighten the nuts with a 1/2" wrench.

Ladder with LeveLok leveler/stabilizers installed10x157.gif (869 bytes)That's all there is to it! In about 15 minutes, your "ordinary" extension ladder will be LeveLok-equipped and ready to use.

Your ladder will be able to adapt to terrain differentials of up to 10 inches - without any effect on its duty rating. And the new, heavy-duty feet will greatly enhance the sure-footedness of your ladder, on any terrain.
