How the KeyLok® System Works

It's a Snap to Attach Our Quick Connect Accessories to Your Ladder - Whether It's a Leveler, Shoulder Pad or Transport Dolly!Now you can add a Leveler, Shoulder Rest or Dolly to your ladder whenever you need it.

Frankly, we're surprised we didn't think of it sooner - a safe and secure way to connect accessories to your ladders - in less than a second.

And they can be removed just as quickly.

 We've made it easier than ever to use or transport your ladders with complete peace of mind. Just select one or more of our Complete KeyLok® Quick Connect Kits. Each kit contains everything you need - the accessory, all mounting hardware and complete instructions.

The heart of the KeyLok® Quick Connect System lies in its Base Units - 10-oz rock-solid aluminum connector brackets that mount securely on the ladder rails. Mating connectors fastened to accessories insert and firmly snap-lock into a Base Unit's keyed holes, making it easy to attach an accessory whenever you need it. So simple a child can use it - yet so unique that it's patented!

Closeup of connecting operation - note the release lever at the top of the Base UnitWhenever you slide any of the KeyLok® accessories into place, you'll hear a resounding ker-chunk! that will remind you that not only is your accessory securely attached, but (like all LeveLok products) our heavy-duty KeyLok® Quick Connect System meets or exceeds all OSHA and ANSI requirements for ladders up to and including 1AA (375 lb) duty ratings. Yet you can release and remove an accessory by simply activating a Base Unit's upper release lever (see right) with a finger or thumb, then sliding the accessory down and out - an operation that typically takes less than a second. Each Base Unit includes an additional self-locking pin for backup security - ideal for transporting ladders with accessories attached.

Our KeyLok® System gives you additional theft protection, too: When not in use, your accessories can remain safely locked in your service vehicle.

Want to reduce the overall weight of your ladders? By adding accessories after the ladder has been transported, our KeyLok® System can even turn heavy "two man" ladders into lighter "one man" ladders.
